New BaronOne sign in process

RCBC has recently updated the login service for accessing BaronOne. To sign into your BaronOne account, please review the information below.

Before getting started:

Important note on passwords:

Full-time employees and part-time employees with RCBC computers will sign in using your RCBC email address and your current BaronOne password. No temporary password is needed.

Adjunct faculty, most part-time employees, and students will need to enter a temporary password in order to log in. Please take note of your temporary password format below:

  • Students: The password format will be mmddyyyy+first initial+last initial+ID number. An example of a login for a student named Baron Oxley, born March 1, 1991, whose student ID number is 3131313, would be: 03011991bo3131313
  • Adjunct faculty and most part-time employees: The default password format will be: capital first initial + lowercase last initial + birth year + employee ID. Example: Az19770913254

Accessing your BaronOne resources during the transition period:

We are moving applications to this new system in phases. During this transition period, you may notice a "dual login" process:

  • Until the migration is 100% complete, you may occasionally be asked to authenticate on both the old and new systems during the same session.
  • If you are prompted to log in twice when switching between different apps (such as departmental email boxes and other college tools), this is a normal, temporary part of our upgrade process.

From your mobile device, click on one of the links below to download Microsoft Authenticator. (FREE download)

  • iOS users:  .
  • Android users: .

  • Clicking 'Start the Process' will open the Microsoft sign in screen shown below where you'll enter your RCBC email address and then click Next.
  • Enter your password.
    • Adjunct faculty, most part-time employees, and students will use the temporary password noted above.
    • Full-time employees and part-time employees with RCBC computers will continue using their current BaronOne password.
    • Click Sign In.

  • Google Authenticator (Click 'Set up a different authentication app')
  • Phone call or text message (Click 'Set up a different way to sign in')
What to know about Microsoft Authenticator

  • For added security, Microsoft Authenticator will ask you to enter your device's pin code or will utilize your device's biometric security capabilities (facial or fingerprint recognition) to access the app. This additional security step will be required each time you utilize Microsoft Authenticator for signing into BaronOne.
Getting started with Microsoft Authenticator
  1. .
  2. Open the app and follow the prompts to initiate the Authenticator app and allow access to your device's camera and push notifications.
  3. Return to the Entra sign in window on your web browser.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to scan the provided QR code and complete your authenticator set up.
  5. You will now begin receiving an on-screen code each time you log in to Entra and will see this prompt each time you sign into BaronOne beginning January 16th.
  6. Once you have this code, head back to your Microsoft authenticator app and enter it in the box provided.

Once you have set up your new MFA, you will be asked whether you want to stay signed in to reduce the number of sign in prompts. Select your preferred option to continue.
